A new method without permanent or temporary unnatural location in rectal cancer is being applied for the first time in Greece
Talk on very low rectal cancer and the newest techniques Megaron musik 23-25 September 2016
This speech aims to present the operation of transsphincter* resection in Rectal cancer which is very close to the clamp which avoids the permanent rather than natural seat, as well as the newest version of this which is applied for the first time in Greece without a temporary but natural seat. This is her method transsphincteric resection of the rectum with pull through delayed anastomosis. The incidents that have been done with this method are the first to be announced in Greece and also among the first incidents internationally. This new method offers the following advantages compared to the rest of the technicians with temporary headquarters*.
- We avoid the temporary stoma* and its convergence (2nd Operation)
- Reduction of ileal potential (not intra-abdominal anastomosis)
- Lower cost for funds and the patient, no oral materials are needed for 2-6 months (use of diapers for 20-30 days) 2nd Operation much simpler, 1 day hospitalization instead of 4-5 days 2nd Operation can be done while chemotherapy is being done so the patient does not have to wait 6 months to remove the temporary bag
- Reduction of anastomosis complications escape stenosis (bowel works directly) direct control of anastomosis and bowel condition visually
- Less psychological burden
- The intestine works immediately and no special diet is needed
Despite its advantages, this method can be applied to selected patients based on anatomical and surgical criteria.
